project overview
Doubling as a high-performing vacation rental and a personal tranquil escape.
Designed for a couple seeking an escape from the north, this home was meant to be a personal retreat as well as a vacation rental. The client envisioned a comfortable, organic, and inviting space — somewhere to relax, enjoy the Florida lifestyle, and seamlessly transition between personal use and hosting guests. The home itself was a blank slate — a builder-grade property with stark white walls and minimal character. Without time for major renovations, we focused on transforming the space through layers of furnishings, textures, and décor, creating a warm, lived-in feel that would appeal to both the owners and future renters. After conducting market research and assessing the home’s layout, we determined it would be best suited for families and multi-family vacations. With multiple bedrooms, open-concept living spaces, and a flexible loft area, the home was designed to accommodate both relaxing getaways and family-friendly stays.
the before & after
challenges & creative solutions
Time-Sensitive
The client needed to move in within a few months, meaning we had to skip renovations and focus on impactful updates through furniture, décor, and styling. We layered in natural textures, inviting color palettes, and statement pieces to breathe life into the space without changing the structure.
Balancing Quality with Rental Durability
With the home serving as both a personal escape and a rental property, the client was willing to invest in quality furnishings—a key factor in ensuring longevity, comfort, and sustainability. Instead of using cheap, replaceable pieces, we sourced durable, high-end furniture, performance-grade fabrics, and soft yet resilient bedding to provide both luxury and practicality for guests.

collaboration & process
Thoughtful layouts & guest experience
This client was highly engaged in the process, trusting us to create a space that felt like home while meeting the needs of future guests. Our focus was on:
Creating an effortless rental experience – Ensuring guests have everything they need while keeping the space functional and easy to maintain.
Thoughtful layouts for different guest types – Whether a family with kids or two couples on vacation, the home was designed to adapt seamlessly to different group dynamics.
design highlights
Modern organic with coastal influences.
The design leaned into a modern organic aesthetic, blending warm wood tones, airy textiles, and minimal yet intentional décor to reflect the natural beauty of South Florida. Key design choices included:
Performance Fabrics & Durable Materials – Ensuring furniture and textiles could withstand rental use while remaining soft and inviting.
Minimal, High-Impact Decor – A clutter-free approach to styling, making the space feel intentional, curated, and calming.
Flexible Living Spaces – The loft was designed as a playroom/game room to cater to families, while the open-concept main living area provided seamless flow for gatherings.
The result? A home that feels personal yet universally appealing, attracting consistent bookings and earning five-star reviews.
